fun to drive, handles really good, very smooth engine.

Sucks fuel as it is a rotary engine even with Mazda working to improve fuel economy so look carefully at the numbers.  The older versions of the rotary motor ate as much fuel as a small V8 but the performance was similar from the 1.3L motor.  So loads of fuel used but V6 - V8 performance.

Transmissions were another thing to look out for especially if driving it hard.  Expensive to repair.

Great looking car.

Poor mileage and not really practical.

While the rotary engine is fun and reliable if you take care of it properly, If you don&#039;t know how to take care of a rotary engine, I would highly advise against getting one.  

First of all, if you go a week without starting it, you will have to get it jumped every time.  Secondly, you should not shut the car down when the engine is cold.

There are other quirky things, as well.  If you do purchase one, make sure you ask the dealer how to effectively maintain your rotary engine.
