Brads a dumbass. Roofing material and waste is expensive. As is disposal,wages wcb and insurance. Its cheap if your roofer does not have insurance. One ply is not good enough for a torch down system however. Torch on requires a fibreglass base sheet,followed by an base layer followed by the cap sheet. None of this includes the work for new flashings,cap metal,aesthetic shingles etc. Brad does not know anything about t&g systems. 5-7k sounds about right on. 16k is a royal ripoff.
