i think it is a very nice thing for you to want to leave something for your grandaughter:) coin collecting is one of the best kind of collections in my opinoin, because coins show history from places around the world. they also are garanteed to last long, as long as they are kept in good condition. because of this, your grandaughter can pass them on to her grandchildren. i think you got started in the right kind of collection, and she will really appreciate them.
