Hello.

I had a pretty odd dream last night, and I've been reading up on some of the symbols in it, but I'm having trouble putting it all together.

I can only remember bits and pieces of it, but in one part I was enthusiastically playing this ukeleli (sp?), and another part, I'm trying to play a violin, but I can't quite position it correctly to play it, so my friend tries to help me. - The next part is really odd.. I'm running and jumping around, outside the front of my house, and I think I see my family there - then this wolf comes along.. it does not harm me, but decides to pee on me.. it just chases after me and pees on me. So I approached my family, and they seem relatively unconcerned.. then I go to change my clothing.. and that's all I remember.

  1. A wolf is a common symbol in peoples dreams.  Usually it means danger, predators, things like that.  I have no idea what it peeing on you means.  Unless, well when dogs and wolves pee on things, it is to mark their teeritory.  So if this makes any since at all, it's almost like danger is marking it's territory on you, like claiming you almost.  I don't mean to scare you or anything, i could be totally wrong.  But thats my interprtation.

    Hope I helped : )

  2. Um so I know this may sound weird but that's all you.  It's your imagination.  It's you who thinks that makes up a dream so just think about what ever you were thinking about the night of the dream and you'll prob have another like it and you can figure out the rest from there.

  3. The dream suggests you are moving forward in your life and doing well; however, there is one aspect of  your progress you can not quite seem to manage.  You do have support from friends but so far this has not helped you overcome this particular obstacle.

The wolf likely symbolizes some dangerous in your life and his peeing on you represents some in your life that you do not want anyone else to know about especially your family.    While you feel your family would accept this you can not accept it, and so you continue to cover it up.  It could relate to something sexual.

Let me know if this is helpful.

  4. playing music: Playing a musical instrument can mean that you have something to express or say, or you have a need for a creative outlet. It can also mean that you have great potential to do well out in the world.

    jumping

    Making great or sudden progress

Taking a risk, especially when the jump from one place to another in the dream is a risky one

    wolf :

Spirit or soul. Loyalty, fearlessness, or steadfastness. Dreaming of this animal can represent:

Having too much of one of these qualities, or that you could benefit by being less this way

Not having enough of one of these qualities, or that you could benefit by being more like this

Someone or something in your real life with whom you associate one of these qualities (an event, situation, threat, etc.)

For more clues, pay attention to what the animal was doing or any particular characteristic that stood out.

An aggressive wolf can represent a fear or perceived threat (perhaps an emotional threat) in your real life.

urinating Getting rid of something undesirable or unwanted. Channeling negativity into the world

    being chased

If you dream someone is chasing you, consider the context.

If the chaser wants to harm you, this can represent a feeling or fear of: persecution, hostility, aggression, criticism, etc. by another person or by "people in general." It can also represent real-life situation where you feel your boundaries have been crossed or your integrity has been compromised.

If someone who likes you is playfully chasing you, it could represent your perception that they like you or might want to know you better.

    clothes

    Self-expression

The way the dreamer thinks the wearer wants to portray themselves to others

How the dreamer thinks the wearer is trying to control others'—or even their own—image of themselves (such as kids wanting to dress older to try to get people to believe they are older)

A role the person plays (as in a uniform)—or would like to play (as in little girls playing dress-up like princesses)

Protection—especially self-protection of boundaries, as in protecting oneself from being taken advantage of or judged (for example, cold-weather clothing representing an attempt to protect oneself from hatred, bad will, etc. in real life

A characteristic associated with the type of clothing, such as culture, age group, or personality type

Clothing can also convey the setting of the dream—such as warm-weather clothes representing something that happened last summer, or high-fashion clothing representing Paris, or saddle-shoes representing the 1950s. Your subconscious mind might also use clothing to establish the mood or timeline of a dream

    YOUR DREAM ANALYSIS:

So, putting together the parts of your dream:

When you are playing the ukulele, you are expressing your creativity or something you wish to say, or you have great potential. When you have difficulty playing the violin, you feel the need to express something, or use your creative potential, but are unable to. However, you know you can rely on your friends to help you.

When you are jumping by your house, you then are making great progress, possibly if you have a family problem, but then the wolf comes; perhaps you are too loyal to your family, or too fearless or steadfast. Or maybe the opposite, you aren't loyal/fearless/steadfast enough. Or maybe you associate you family or family situation with these qualities. The wolf peeing on you could mean that you feel someone is getting rid of their problems and loading them onto you, or that someone is channeling negativity onto you, again likely to be your family. When the wolf is chasing you, you are afraid of persecution, hostility, aggression, or criticism by someone (again probably your family). It could also mean you feel your boundaries have been crossed or your integrity has been compromised. When your family seems unconcerned, you feel as though they won't help you with your problem, or they don't care about you. When you change clothes, based on the rest of your dream, it makes the most sense that you are trying to protect your boundaries, or protect yourself from being taken advantage of or judged.

It seems to me that this dream is expressing your feelings about how your family is connecting to you, though I could be wrong.
