tell your mom to write a note cuz that is UNFAIR!!! serousley but if that doesnt work one day i forgot to bring pads to a birthday party and always clean pads(the ones with the wipe) got me threw it it was like...from 2 till as late as 7... so ask to go at lunch and you could be ok

That's an incredibly stupid rule.  My guess is that they do it because they suspect people go to the restroom to goof off or do other bad things (smoking, etc) that aren't allowed.  But, people have to pee.  And change tampons.  So, get your parents to complain to the administration.  Bring a doctor's note.  Do what you gotta, because it's unhealthy to not change that tampon or pad a couple of times a day.

5 times a month???? what the heck is that all about? I went through the same thing during summer school. I got my girls together and got like 5 pages of signatures opposing to the number of times we go to the bathroom. It worked! Although in your case it might be different, talk to you parents and see if they can help you know like talk to the principal! The whole 5 times a month is ridiculous!!!

I'm having the same problem, so what my sisters told me to do is, you don't really need to change your pad a lot. Just like every 4 hours or so. So when you first get to school go to the bathroom, then during lunch, then right when you get out of your last class. Then every now and then go during class. I can only go 3 times every 6 weeks. So you have it good.

Ask your teacher if he or she would like you to bring back the used tampon as proof of your bathroom visit, or talk to another teacher you trust and have them talk to your teacher about your bathroom needs.

First and foremost, to ELAINE-- your reply is completely ridiculous.  A virgin can use tampons.  The hymen (what you referred to as the cherry) can be broken and your virginity is still intact.  You are a VIRGIN until you have sexual intercourse for the first time.

That being said, to the asker-- just because you are in the seventh grade doesn't mean you can't use tampons.  Many young girls including myself were using them at your age.  I agree with the others-- your school is being rediculous and if I was your mother I would get together with all of the other parents in the school and change that stupid rule.

In the meantime, talk to your mother about using tampons.  If she feels that you are too young, take her to tampax.com or a website geared to teenage girls about their periods and have her read up on there.

There are ALOT of topics that have been asked about proper tampon insertion, so I won't go into that here, but if you click my name I've answered many of those questions already.  Until your school changes that idiotic rule, use a tampon and a pad combined together.  In the past when I knew I couldn't get to a bathroom for several hours, thats the method I have resorted to.

Oh yes, another thing-- there is also the INSTEAD cup.  its a cup you place inside your v****a, and it collects blood.  You can leave that in for up to 12 hours at a time.

That is BULL!!!! Tell them you have irritable bowel syndrome and have to frequently use the bathroom. No one should be able to mandate how often you can use the bathroom. If someone refuses you, tell them that if they dont let you go, youre going to go in the corner, and theyre gonna have to clean it up!

i remember when i was in middle school and one teacher wouldn't let me out of class to go to the bathroom...i just left...lol however i wouldn't recommend that.

bring a note from your parents and/or doctor...

There is no way a school can actually do that. Tell your parents, they can complain to the administration.  There are OSHA regulations against that in the work place, meaning that doing it to children in schools is probably very illegal.

And don't worry using tampons doesn't take away your virginity, only stupid people think that.

You need to tell your mom that they only allow you to go to the bathroom 5 times a mount. That is pathetic! What school would ever do that! You should be able to go to the bathroom at least 2 times a day if you want to!!! You seriously need to tell your mom or an adult that you trust. (It should be a woman so they would understand more or where you're coming from.) I would get so mad if my school did that!!

you need to tell a girl teacher that you have to go to the bathroom for something they should understand. or go talk to a counsler at the school about the rules they need to be changed. At our school we go to the bathroom we get a 10 minutes taken out of our lunch and then how ever long we took

Get a note from a parent or doctor and give it to your guidance counselor or nurse. Then, all of your teachers will be notified and allow you to use that bathroom more than 5 times a month. Even though that rule is ridiculous.

What moronic school system only allows kids to use the bathroom 5 times a month????  Seriously - the educational systems in the world are soooooo screwed up.  

Have your mom go over to the school and have a lil chat with the principal.  If nothing is resolved then she needs to forward on her complaints to the superintendant of the school system.  That's ridiculous.

you don't have to use tampons... that can be dangerous anyway...

pads are safer and easier...  

that rule at your school sucks and it's wrong

what you should do is get a note from your mom or dad that says you are having your monthly cycle...

take it to the school nurse or a woman in the office...  and they should give you a pass to give to your teachers... which will allow you to go to the bathroom whenever you need to for purposes of attending to your person hygeine...  

the school has to understand that feminine pads needed changed every 4 hours to protect your health... and it would be very embarrassing to you if there were a leak onto your clothes.

so if they don't allow you to do this, have your mom call into the school

please take my advice, I am a Registered Nurse... and things are much different for kids now then when I was in school...  stupid things like uniforms and rules that you cant go to the bathroom.... these schools should be sued for infringing on your human right to use the rest room

talk to your principal and parents about the issue. don't you have lunch and breaks though? you should plan the times when you need to change wisely. i wear pads too, and i don't go to the bathroom at all at school. it's rare that i do. wear a heavy duty pad if you have to and change right after school. remember, you should only have your period once a month and you should only have it for about a week. therefore, 5 times should be sufficient. not that it's fair.

What is the reason that you can only use the bathroom 5 times a month? Is this some weird rule at your school? If it is you should let someone know because that is not right and probably illegal! You have the right to use the bathroom any time you need unless you are taking advantage and going when not needed to get out of class.
