I (personallly) have NO desire to go there for tourism or work. On my soap: There's a family moving to Dubai. Two ladies I work with went to INDIA for their vacations.

I thought India was a 3rd world country. PLEASE correct me NICELY if I am wrong. Are there 5 * star resort hotels & beaches I don't know about?

  1. my sisters friends go to india every summer and they live like royalty there, the have servants and everything.  But im not sure if thats because they have a lot of money, or because they are originally from a very high class family in india

  2. There are definately dozens if not hundreds of five-star-hotels and wonderful beaches in India.

Dubai is in the Middle East while India is in South Asia.

India is sometimes called a "third world" country but that's an over-generalization. It's got approx. 1 billion residents and it is a Sub-Continent so it's very complex, heterogeneous, and has wonderful things among its dozens of states.

What else would you like to know about these two countries?

    I hope this helps!

  3. I've been to jaipur and my family stayed in a palace that changed into a hotel.

Indian is a 3rd world country, but you can't be always looking at it's poverty!  There's a lot of amazing places there, like the Taj Mahal.  That's a lovely sight to see   :]

Maybe you should try to go there, to see for yourself!

    Wouldn't hurt, would it?

And also, Dubai isn't in India.

haha!  As long as you don't diss Indians like me.

    :]

  4. that going to India answer u gave me sucked . the reason i want to go to India is because my grandparents and relatives live there

  5. there are some parts of India that is in horrible condition but there is another part where business and the rich are abundant

my are saying India could become the new America because the payment for their works is so cheap

  6. MKL, some people travel for other reasons than to stay at 5 star resorts.

india is an amazing country with a rich history. it's a feast for the senses, the smells, colors, sounds, tastes are unlike anywhere in the world. it has thousands of years of culture; of music, religion, dance, theater, everything. the people are wonderful, nice, curious, friendly.

it's hard traveling there, but it's worth it.

if you like those resorts, where you sit on the beach but never interact with the locals, then that's fine, there are plenty of places for you to go. but you must know that's not the only reason to travel.

  7. Third world country doesn't mean you'll have to sleep on the street or in danger of getting shot. They have plenty of hotels just as nice as American hotels.
