.gif wont play on desktop?

Question

it plays regular when i open the picture.. but when i try to set it as a desktop background it wont play.. i dont know why not.. but i use Vista.. best answer for w/e helps

you can make the Animated gif. Install any of gif maker software ... or use the adobe image ready. itz easy to create Gif. and save into your computer and make a HTML file and call that gif into your HTML code and save. then go to my computer Desktop property and click Background browse that HTML file... click OK.. there you go.............. you can see the animated background
