Depends if you're after anything specific, Oxford Street is London's main shopping street, checkout Marks & Spencer at Marble Arch for well made and good value clothing, Selfridges has many different departments and sells almost everything but the clothing is expensive.

Close to Oxford Circus is the London Palladium, look to the right and you will see 'Liberty' department store, they have many interesting and different things, and is adjacent to Carnaby Street, once the centre of swinging 60's London, there's a few Boutiques and Gift shops down there too......
