1. geesh bass are all over florida - you just need to watch out for the gators!!

  2. Ok, so if ur fishing at a lake then ur best bet is a buzzbait or a crankbait/jerkbait!. If ur fishing in heavy cover, keep in mind the bigger the bass the more solitary they tend to be, so they'll love deep cover. Bass like to keep cool, so the hotter it is the deeping they will go. My favorite bait to use is a buzzbait, retrieve it slow and ull catch something. Good luck and happy fishing.

  3. go to the library and read all you can about bass what they doo where they do it how they hunt feed and breed. the more you know about the specie you want to target the easier they are to find and then catch. Only you can do the work needed to put into memory all the info you are about to indulge your senses with. Bass fishing is truly a worldwide phenomonon that is very similar all over the world. If you don't care to work at something, that something won't work out for you.

  4. The above posts are great info, and the angler's resource link very handy. Also try out www.takemefishing.org

Good luck and good fishing, and again...If I knew all of the answers to catching SM and LM bass, I would be fishing pro tourneys for a living.

    The Bassmaster Elite crew rock!

  5. Surface lures kick @$$ for bass (ha ha, I made a pun). I have also found that a NEW rubber worm on a Carolina rig works great. Plugs that float at the surface and dive on retrieve work as well. As for live bait, a big nightcrawler is your best bet. diving plugs work best in the afternoon, while live bait and rubber work best in the evening and morning. Try deep, slow rivers where weeds grow in still spots and cast to the edge with a surface lure or weedless spinner or worm rig.

By the way, my source may be from PA, but the strategies work everywhere I have ever fished.

  6. Bass are the same just about everywhere. Well I mean the act the same. In different places you are going to have different patters, but their actions shoul dbe the same everywhere. Bass will be active in the early mornings and late evenings in shallow waters close to shore. They will feed on bait fish and other small live bait. In the afternoons, durring the heat of the day they will move to the deeper/cooler waters. There are countless ways to catch BASS in a number of situations. Your best option is to visit our website and have a look around the tips section as well as the fishing reports section.. You can even log onto the forum and ask our pros for their advice and other tips. In Southern florida soft plastics worked slow this time of year seems to do well (lizards and 10" worms) and spinnerbaits worked slow does the trick too,

    Hope this helps
