1. From the sounds of it I seek advice from some oneelse this teacher is no help to you whats so ever based from what I read you might want to go & find your self a deffrent school you did do right thing by asking the teacher as to what to you need to work on any teacher worth a grain of salt should tell you & advise you as to what you need to work on this so unbeleaveble that a teacher would do something like this although there are some that are that way maybe the teacher feels that maybe you are not ready for pointe if I was in your shoes I would go & seek advice from someone else & not fool around & waste time with this teacher it sounds like this teacher has a personal problem for some reason

  2. try talking to some one else....like a older ballet person...or a different teacher

  3. Well it sounds like the teacher does not think that you're ready for Pointe. But she should definitely be giving you advice on what to work on. If she's not willing to give you tips then I would talk to maybe another ballet instructor or another student who has been on Pointe for a while about what you can do. Do lots of releves and really strengthen your ankles.

  4. The teacher sounds like she dosn't think your ready but you can always do exersices to help. The main things for getting point shoes is to have a good arch and strong ankles. You have to have a good arch so you can get up on point and be able to get all the way onto the shoe so you don't hurt your self. And strong ancles to support you. Something you can do to strengthin your arch and ankles is plie releves. Do 50 on the left foot with your right in coupe then do 50 with your right foot and left in coupe. Then do 50 with both legs and do these1-2 times a day and do them daily. Hope you get noticed and improve!

  5. then shes not a good teacher...and maybe she just doesnt want you to have the shoes cause she just doesnt think you can do it

  6. you have to be so careful with pointe shoes. If your feet and ankles aren't ready for them then you will do damage to yourself and this will reflect when you are older and you may get things such as arthritis.

i waited many years before getting mine because my feet just weren't strong enough. However the growth in my feet has been stunted by them because of the slow natural growth of my feet and the impact the shoes had upon them.
