*guys*: how would you feel if ....?

your gf was kind of better at snowboarding than you & faster & stuff... would you feel uncomfortable or admire her for it?

I would love it if my wife were better at it than me.

When I do a sport with someone who's better than me at it, I tend to do better than my usual abilities. Example: I played soccer with a bunch of Latin American guys in college, and I made some  fantastic plays (great goal assists!) that I never could have otherwise. It really encourages me to excel when I am around great athletes.

I think it might make me feel a little uncomfortable because all my snowboarding life, I've been mostly around guy snowboarders and all but one girl I know are new at it.  Anyways, it shouldn't get in the way of your relationship.  It would push me to go faster, bigger, and to pull of harder more complex tricks.  It's pretty much etched into every guy's genes.  None of us like losing.  Some just take it better than others.  And we keep trying until we accomplish a goal if we want it really bad.  If your boyfriend couldn't stand that you were better than him, how would that reflect on your relationship?

To sum it all up, I would feel a little awkward, but I'm fine with it.  I'd admire her for it.  Most, of the girls I know (except for one) on a board or skis are afraid of high speeds and don't really go for tricks and air.
