♥ Hello I just found out today that I am having identical twin girls. I'm so excited and I also have a daughter who will be two tomorrow.

Does anyone have any advice for me about having twins? Things that you got that helped you with the twins?

Thanks for the help

  1. Well when I found out I was having twin girls... I got advice from everyone... even strangers... Well what I did was keep them on the same schedule for the first two months. They were extremely premature and were in the hospital for the first month. After they turned 3 months, they started sleeping 6 or more hours at a time at night, so I just let them sleep. One was a little bigger than the other, so the smaller one was still waking every 3 to 4 hours. I would just let her bigger sister sleep. My biggest savior was my long body pillow. Not exactly the kind of baby item you would think of, but I prop them up on it when I have to feed them both at the same time. You only have two hands so having something to sit them up with is a big savior. Oh and having two of everything.... so not necessary, unless you find you really need two of something. I was told I would need two swings and two bouncers and two playpens... One baby prefers the swing and the other the bouncer... perfect for me. Just take it one day at a time. I swear the day I brought them home from the hospital, I didn't know how I would do it. But as time goes by, you get used to it. Just take it one day at a time and you will get through it. Oh and the little baby nightgowns are the most wonderful thing ever invented... no snaps in the middle of the night and try not to forget color coding... I did that. One child is purple.... purple bottles... bibs... socks ... clothes... the other is pink... pink bottles .... etc. It just makes life a lot easier when you feed them and when people watch them I like to match their clothes with thier bottles, esp when someone else is going to watch them. It just ensures both children will get fed... I have some stories.... Hope that helped.
