(help) Is US Airways a reliable and reputable airline?

Becasue I'm not really familiar with some domestic airlines, i'm wondering if US Airways a reliable and reputable airline.

I found it when I tried to make a vacation plan to Las Vegas for the next week.

Please help.

Some people like US Airways while others avoid it.  I try not to fly with them anymore.  They are the first airline to stop serving free snacks and beverages on flights.  They have started to charge $2 for a can of soda and just recently said that they will stop giving away water.  You can purchase water for $2 but if there is a medical emergency, they will give you free water.
