  2. That's a hard one.

But....I have seen where people put it on that town or Cities websites or in the Newspaper and all the info about around what time they were born and who they think they parents might be...because usally their is a family member who finds it and contacts the people the person is looking for.....

    I wish you much luck

  3. The easiest way is to look up where they are from and check the voter registration to see if they are registered voters this will give a current address. My grandfather is a private investigator... I am not sure if this is privelaged info. However you can also check the Department of Motor Vehicles. This will not be a hard case for a PI at all especially if they have remained in the same city... You can ask specific questions and for rates. www.davidmgrove.com

  4. Go and get the book, Birthright: The Guide to Search and Reunion by Jean Strauss.

Do NOT use a confidential intermediary if you can help it.  CI's as they are called have been known to lie to adoptees and natural families in order to prevent reunion.  In fact, many confidential Intermediaries are former adoption agency workers who are trying to protect their investments.  They do not want those records open.

I found my natural mother intially on the regisrty at adoption.com.

Look up the month and year you were born and go from there.  Good luck.

  5. I am going to do the same thing because of health issues in the family.  I am petitioning the court to open the records and have a social worker contact my birth parents.  This however will cost money.  I suggest you find a local adoptees group because they should have good ideas for what works in your area.  Good luck.

  6. I found my sister's birth mother after a closed adoption.  Do you know where she grew up?  I used Classmates.com, switchboard.com, whitepages.com, etc..  I called people from her age range and asked about whether they know of a pregnant girl in their school who gave up a child.  I did end up finding a last name.  I called EVERY person I could find with that last name who had at one time lived in the area...found her birthmom's cousin who contacted her birthmom for us...  My sister has since met her birthmom, and they visit with each other quite often (Both my sister and her birth-mom wanted a relationship).  Good luck on your search.

  7. Riverside County.... in California?

If it's CA, then check the page here for the laws:
