help with a injured wild baby bird

I found a small wild baby bird in my familyroom struggling to burrow into some blankets under my end tables.  I am not sure if our cat brought it in or it just came in by itself.  WE did leave the back door open by acccident and were out for about 2 hours.  I am wondering whre canI take such a bird?  I put it out on the deck and locked my cat in the garage.  I also put some water and bread crumbs out for it too eat.  I found an old next that was left by some birds in one of my hanging planters and placed it on the deck too, but it kept hopping away from me.  What do I do?
