  1. Hi there!

I remember being in your shoes. I didn't have many friends and I longed to be friends with the popular crowd. If I could go back in time, I would throw my insecurity out of the window and go up to the "popular" crowed and just start talking to them. I would be confident and friendly. And if they weren't friendly back, then THEY would be the losers.

In high school, most people feel a desperate need to fit in and be accepted. However, the only thing that actually matters after high school is the grades on your transcripit. Try to get the best grades possible so you can get into a top college.

you could also try getting involved in an after school organization or club to meet new people. Best of luck!!! Just be friendly. People are attracted to people that smile and laugh, but most of all have confidence.

If you walk up to those guys with a ton of confidence, believing you are the coolest guy ever, they will believe you are cool!

  2. join a sport.

find friends you can laugh with.

it's that easy, and life's too short to focus on how "impossible" happiness is. it's not!

  3. Don't worry about what other people think of you, and don't let them judge you on your appearance. Only your true friends know what you are really like, and they are the only ones you need. Ignore people who are mean to you. Don't let people call you a loser. And if they do, just remember that you're the better person, not them. Don't worry about what the "popular" guys are wearing or what kind of hairstyle they have. Stop worrying about those kind of things, and just have fun and be yourself. Those guys who think they are so cool are just going to get into trouble and they are going to end up as a hobo some day because they were too busy smoking and getting into trouble to do their school work. Trust me, I bet you they won't get into a good college and get a good career later in life. But you know what? You will. Because you did the right things in life and you started making good choices early. High school is not all about wearing the hottest trends like everyone else, and hanging out with the cool people. Make your own friends, hang out with you want to, just be a good person- don't be someone you're not. Do your homework, study for tests, and you will achieve a lot in life. If you are unhappy, do things you like to do...relax and take a break from all the drama. Just go to the beach, go to Howie's game shack or Disneyland with a friend. Just do whatever makes you happy. If you are having a hard time finding a true friend, just be yourself, be outgoing, and talk to people - give people a chance. You never know who someone really is until you talk to them and hang out with them. And just remember...the popular kids aren't the ones who wear True Religions and look like Abercrombie models...the popular kids are the ones who are themselves, you do good in school, and end up with a way better life than the kid who looks like Jason Dolley.

So who's going to be the one who benefits later in life? You.

  4. dont worry about it i felt like that last year too (im a softmore)

just find friends that you fit in with and youll be fine. i found high school to be more enjoyable that way

another thing about high school is that people tend not to like those popular douschebags either dont try to be like them

    just be yourself

  5. Well first off, quit dreaming because popularity is very overrated. More people are always against you than with you, and EVERYONE knows your business. Be happy with yourself.

And I feel your pain. I just graduated in June and it was a long journey. It gets better as the years go by...By the time you're a senior you'll forget all about how much it sucked being a freshman/sophomore. The advantage of high school though is you're around more people so you can make more friends to help you boost your confidence. There's strength in numbers. Meanwhile keep your eyes toward the future.
