!!! how do you remove carpetting yourself?

is there anything you really need to do? besides tearing it off?

start at a corner  you will need a flat screwdriver and hammer most homes if there is moulding pry under it to loosen it  there  is a  tack strip holding the carpet down the best way is start at corner and pull  its very hard at first until you get a handful be careful those tack strips are sharp

get a sharp razor and cut the carpet in squares, the size of a bed. its easier to take off.
