  1. You can pick any part of the car to mark your mile. The front of a car is a good reference point.

Which wheels actually measure your mile? It depends on whether your car is front or rear wheel drive, as the speedometer is usually driven from the transmission.

Will it be an actual mile? The accuracy of your speedometer is good enough for operation in a car, being within about 3 to 5%. It is affected by such as these: Speed you are travelling, variations in the size of the wheels, etc

There are instruments available to accurately measure any distance. Your car cannot measure a distance with complete precision.

  2. Use the odometer to measure a mile. It doesn't really matter which part of the car you use to mark the spot.  The whole thing travels the same mile.

  3. Use the front tire and drive 1 mile looking at your odometer or use the highway mile markers that are 1 mile apart and compare that to your odometer, one mile will be 5,280 feet.

  4. if you start with the front of your car then end with the front, same for the rear it will be the same

  5. use front tires n pay attention to ur odometer =-)
