  1. There is a very complete free online audio course, called Latinum

    http://latinum.mypodcast.com

This course, if you study it and use the textbook, will get you to a very high level of Latin ability.

  2. If you're still enrolled in a school and you've already searched for a Latin course but haven't found it, you can contact your Language department head for help.

Some school websites, like Northside College Prep's (yes, it's a high school) have help sheets for students online.

You can also teach yourself from a standard text book, but you'll need a lot of patience and devotion to do this. Latin's a very complex language, so you might want to find yourself a tutor to help you along.

Ecce Romani is a common textbook that uses a standard language learning format. However, since Latin is a dead language, this teaching method is very ineffective. It's good for learning the basics and modern vocabulary, if you want a good base. Vocabulary in this textbook is developed from modern words, and you will NEVER use those.

My preferred text is Latin For Americans - it uses modern grammar to explain sentence structures. Lessons are geared more for reading and comprehension than modern speaking, so it's very well-explained and detailed.

You can also browse for other books using sites like Amazon.com, etc...

    Good luck!
