? i need help on a kick flip go into depth?

i can ollie but I'm having trouble with flipping the board like all pop my ollie and flick the side of the board but it wont flip in the air just when i land it trips me? P.S. & bert slide:)

make sure you flick hard and outward and really jump to get your feet out of the boards way when its flipping and bring your feet over the board when you see the griptape that's a crucial part

another crucial part is to flick with your ankle not your leg
