kay so i got this small garden snail like a little over 1 cm big and he was moving around like crazy about and hour ago (didn't go near the orange) but he went to the orange and like a minute later looked kinda dead like he fell off the small rock and was like in a twitched position... and i read somewhere that you should spay them with water twice a day so i used an old spray bottle that wasn't surface cleaner but smelled like hair chemicals so i washed it out 4 times but still smells like it so would that cause him to do that or was it the orange...help

and no stupid answers like: just salt him or eat him

oh and yes he's alive cause being so small his shell is thin and i could see his heart beatin or his lungs movin but he is alive

  1. As you suspect; you need to provide clean, chemical-free water to the land snail. Oranges have critic acid that is harmful to snails. Provide a cool, damp enclosure with plenty of fresh leafy greens and you will have an interesting pet.
