even though i will have no time to spend with said boy till around november. and not just any boy. someone that i like and he likes me back of course.

If the boy understands and is aware that you wont be able to spend time with him till then and he is ok with that, then why not date? Tell him your situation and see what he says. So long as you talk at least often or communicate in any different form then it shouldnt be a big deal.
