I think this is a REALLY cute outfit, but I wouldn't wear it  the first day of school, maybe sometime later in the next few weeks.

You're making a first impression on ALL of your new teachers and even if you know some of the teachers you're making a first impression on them as a student.

Just imagine what some stone aged teacher would think of a girl with short shorts and a super low cut shirt. Not very nice things, I can tell you.

But, if you like the outfit enough wear, just heed the warning. I'd suggest wearing a less low cut shirt or jeans.

the black and white one is cute but looks kind of Jack the Pumpkin Kingish so it depends on what is worn with and your personal demeanor

and besides that it's way expensive try someplace like Value Village for same outfit or similar for way cheaper...

If you're driving gas is expensive...

it is nice but you might get hot and so you should lose the sweater, but if you really like it wear it i just hope you know that it it is $150.50....
