james dixon of sheffield hip flask

 Hello-  I also have my grandfather's hip flask - about 9 inches tall by 5 inches wide and 1 inch thick, marked on the bottom James Dixon&sons  Sheffield, with a bugle and half-moon above this writing, the words Made in England on the left and the number 74 above the term 32 OZS on the right of this.   It has a s***w cap but the cork is missing.   Can anyone tell me about this item?   Is it silver?    Pop had it since at least back around 1965 I know, because that's about how long ago I remember seeing it in their cabinet.
