Its gonna be a close call between Chris Paul and Kobe for the MVP but I believe Kobe's drive is greater than that of C.P. Sun Yue dont think he will earn a spot, but he will improve. And Bynum cant wait =) I really think the team will become stronger now with Gasol and Bynum down low! Cant wait to see and I'm sure many Laker fans cant either so hopefully he steps up into the missing key the lakers need for that championship.

We're lucky they gave Kobe the MVP last year. He deserved it the last 4 years. I don;t think the NBA will do it again unless the Lakers are 1st place again and he grabs the scoring title and all defense 1st team

I think Bynum is the final piece to the puzzle. Without a legitimate center we were 2 games from popping bottles. With one we win 60 games.

Lamar Odom either wins 6th man or gets cut.

I think the starting 5 is going to be scary:

Anytime you have three 7-footers and Kobe on the court at the same time...you got trouble.  I will be SHOCKED if they don't completely dominate.  They MAY struggle with continuity in the beginning of the season.  But by December, the Lakers should be rolling.

I don't think Sun Yue will earn a spot right away this season.  With Fisher and Farmar at the point, it may not be a lot of time left for him.

I think Kobe will definitely be in the top 3 choices for MVP again this year.  Because its Kobe, the media and whoever else vote might try to play him and give it to someone else.  

As far Bynum goes, I think his role and impact really depends on how he plays coming back from injury.  If he comes back struggling to get back to the point he was at last year before he got injured, I think he will probably be like a fourth option behind Kobe, Gasol, and Odom.  But if he comes back at least as good as he was before he got hurt, WATCH OUT!!!  He'll probably be the third option behind Kobe and Gasol.  Can you imagine him down low w/ Gasol?  The best part about those two is that their styles of play complement each other.  Bynum is a back-to-the-basket post player while Gasol faces the basket plays further out and can knock down the jumper.  This team is going to be scary this year if everything works out.  In my opinion, the Finals may have worked out differently had Bynum been there healthy.  But that's ok though.  This year is the Lakers' year.
