1. Hi, i've been working on that ship and i can tell you that its one of the best cruises if you wanna have fun. There is a 3 and a 4 days cruise, which one are you going to? There is not so much to see or visit, but to have fun there is a lot. Maybe in november you will find some old persons too but once you get off the ship its another story...

Have fun and remember in ensenada anything can be done...

  2. A few notables about Carnival-

    1) Carnival is a cashless system except for the casino. You open an on-board account with either a cash deposit or a credit card when you board.

    2) The tips ($10 per day per person) are added to your on-board account the moment you step on-board so if you use a cash deposit, you need to include enough in your deposit to cover the tips up front and then your spending money.

    3) Bar drinks are $4-12 plus 15% gratuity.

    4) Soda are $1.75 each or you can buy a soda fountain card for $30-45 for all you can drink soda.

    5) Take a power strip. There is only one outlet in the room.

    6) You might want a nighlight. Rooms are wicked dark.

    7) If you order something in the dining room and don't like it, ask for something else.

    8) Take plenty of $1, 5 and 10 in US dollars for shopping in the open air markets, taxis and tipping shore excursion staff. Avoid the "malls" in port. They are too expensive.

    9) Slot machines pay out more on first night of cruise.

    10) There is usually a lunch buffet going when you board.

    11) Mark your luggage with brightly colored yarn or ribbon to help you find it upon de-barkation. There is a sea of luggage and most if it looks alike.

    12) Carry on any valuables, medicine or anything you will want before about midnight. It takes several hours to get your luggage to your room.

    13) A lanyard is good for carrying around your sail and sign card. You need this card for everything.

Have a good time. We take a cruise every year!

  3. make sure to be organized losing passports and seapass cards are a nightmare especially when coming back to the u.s. you can't get back without a passport

  4. not much to do in Catalina except shop. the sub ride is fun ..or you can rent a golf cart and see the island...there is a lot to do in ensenada shop, drink and party.. or you can go to the blow hole.. get a massage in town for about 30.00. just get back to the ship on time.. there is a nice place to have a few drinks at the pier if you get back early..don't miss any of the shows on the ship...

  5. Well dont overpack. Have all your travel documents, always have ID, and ship card with you at all times. Just relax. Eat as much as you want, and pay attention to the dress codes if you choose to eat in the main dining room. Have fun. Bring an extra power strip for the room as they only have one outlet and its not in the most convienent location. Also put all luggage under the bed, and bring like a shoe rack type thing that you throw over your bathroom door as those come in handy as bathroom space is very very limited. Make sure you have everything you need in your carry on, and dont forget cameras, film, extra memory cards, chargers, and etc.
