The wording above has appeared on the bottom of my Mozilla Firefox screen and in my Yahoo Mail. It is shown in red on a grey bar about 2" deep, how do I get rid of it?

  1. A Mozilla forum notes this as a broken file in the latest Yahoo toolbar update.

It states you should disable the Yahoo Toolbar until a new update is available.

Most suggested fixes say to disable the toolbar via the Yahoo toolbar itself or to go to the Control Panel via Start and remove the Yahoo Toolbar from the Add/Remove list of programs.

However, I had no Yahoo Toolbar options link available and the Yahoo Toolbar did not appear in the Add/Remove program list - so I did a system restore to the last system checkpoint (yesterday morning) which fixed it.

In future I'll have to remember to use the System Restore to set a restore point immediately before I allow any new updates to run - just in case!
