(It sounds good on paper, but wasn't true in reality. Jordan played in 1993 and retired in 1994. Nine players played on these two teams, and these 9 players, as a whole, shot a higher percentage without Jordan than they did with Jordan, even though the defenses were focusing on them. This was not a fluke. this occurred over the course of 164 games. That is enough to determine a trend....Pippen , Grant , and Armstrong all were allstars and had thier best season's without MJ)

B-His competitivness and desire to win was so strong that it rubbed off on his teamates.

(Jordan played 5 seasons without Scottie Pippen and not once in those 5 seasons did his "will to win" rub off on his teamates, all 5 seasons MJ had Losing records and only won 1 playoff game....why could'nt he rub off without Pippen around

C- MJ does'nt REALLY make his teamates better, in fact it's the opposite

Name a team that dominated as much as the bulls without a legimate big man. I mean if you wanna call Luc Longley and Bill Winnington legimate then thats your issue. Jordan is the greatest and yeah maybe King James will dethorne him one day, but Jordan is the reason why the NBA is the 2nd biggest sport in the world right behing the real football. Alright lets say you are right, he didn't make his teammates better, they needed each other to win all 6 titles. Even if that is true fact of the matter is they still won 6 titles. Jordan accomplished countless individual achievements, but would probably give them all back if that met the bulls didn't win 6 titles.

Another Jordan hater bringing up the year he retired (1994)...I don't care if they won over 50 games. Did they win the Championship? NO! Did they even make the finals?? all i can say is jordan is in the top 3 best players of all time but he didnt exactly always make his teammates better he was great nonetheless and im a laker and kobe fan but i realize wat kobe lacks (which he actually is better at now) is good leadership and trust jordan had dat which is why he did make his teammates better but not as much as everybody claims, you wanna know da true definition of making teammates better its called steve nash

You need talent to win championshiops and jordan didn't have the talent and even took a pay cut in salary to draft the players like pippen, grant, and armstrong.  He never publicly did an interview with stephen a. smith and say,"I want a trade, i want to be traded to another team, bynum is a scrub and i'm tired of losing.  Jordan took a paycut and said get me better players to win.  That bullz team that jordan was on his first 5 seasons was garbage.  Your buying into the media hype to much son.  Jordan is not a god.  You sound like you can put jordan on any scrub team and he is suppose to take them to the playoffs and win rings.  You need good players to win championships and role players. Magic couln't win Jack without byron, worthy, kareem, and role players like kurt rambis and michael cooper.  Bird can win anything without Parish, Mchale, dennis johnson and ainge.  Who cares if they had good stats without jordan, rings is all that matters and none of those players won championships without each other.  Bill russell had sam jones for his first 10 rings, is that a coincidence.  Celtics of the 50's and 60's had 8 deep that scored in double figures but nobody on that team ever lead the league in scoring..  Are you gona down play russell too.  but in the end according to you....PIPPEN>KOBE

I'm not an MJ jocker, i;m a basketball fan.  But those guys weren't allstars until they left MJ not while they were playing with him.  An of course you need good players to win rings. kobe realized that after 4 unsuccesful attempts and winning without shaq and demanded a trade.  Sounds like you hate the media so much for blowing up jordan and you hate him so much that you actually need to have his face has your avatar.  YOur obsessed with MJ hate.  LOL...PIPPEN>KOBE

You watered down league theory is another grasp at straws.  I can fill this board up with great teams with better pesonnel losing all the time to teams that were not as good.   Take the Mighty Lakers with Wilt, Elgin Baylor, and jerry west losing to the celtics who  weren't the better team individually, but played like a team.
