(on FFX) Do you think blitzball could ever be a real sport?

Physically impossible? What kind of limitations?

It isn't possible underwater, but why not create an above-ground version like my friends and I did?

Definitely not possible. The amount of strength needed to throw a weighted ball that straight and far underwater is unreal. The physics just wont work. I agree with the previos comment that they could wear respirators. Maybe possible if they were required to swin the ball through the net.

i think you could if the area and rules were changed a bit
1. make it a large, deep swimming pool

2. if you come up to breath thne you must either pass or drop the ball

3. the ball needs to be slightly heavy so it won't float to the top, but it won't sink so fast, and you need to be able to pass easily

4. lengthen the round a bit because obviously, like in football videogames, the time wouldn't exactly be five minutes

5. have people on the bench, so if you run out of breath, swap.

6. teams would be teams of 5 + golaie (like in the game)

7. uniform and tackle regulations would need to be applied

I think that the underwater part is pure fiction but a sport similair is possible
