  1. Yes, but what will change is the type of aircraft flown.

  2. Japan Airlines has already announced to use Biofuels mixed with regular ATF....just a beginning.

However, I feel in coming times, we would be flying in saucers just like the UFOs before going the MARS way (dry and barren...wiped out) unless & until we start living on Moon (as we are trying to build colonies over there).

Nuclear energy will replace the conventional fuels...flying with nuclear power will be there...however it is going to be out of reach of the common people.

  3. Of course they will

  4. Yes.

The amount of oil is irrelevant, it is the price that matters. As the "natural" oil gets rare or too expensive, synthetic petroleum will be made (through process like thermal depolymerization that can convert nearly any organic stuff, like agricultural waste, into oil). There is however enough oil left on the planet for about a century, but most of it is locked in shale and tar sands, where it is expensive to extract. Again, not a matter of availability, but of cost.

Given that airliners are as fuel efficient as cars, if there has to be less airplane, there would have to be far fewer cars as well. This means people not going about, at all. I don't think this will happen.

  5. YES

  6. take your point, and hope the answer is no!

  7. There is enough oil in the United States.  To last Americans for 500 years.  It weather you can afford to buy it or not.  Is were the problem is at.  And another reason is.  If the environmentalist will let you take it out of the ground or not.  Right now China is drilling for oil.   Ninety miles off the coast of Florida.  United States want do it.  Because they are scared they might endanger a few fish.

  8. Of course there will be planes.  How do you suppose people from Hawaii (and such) will get back and forth from the rest of the world?

Beside, they are already finding that some OIL from beans can be squeezed and used DIRECTLY as jet fuel with NO processing.  So even without gasoline / jet fuel, they will find alternative fuel for jet engines.

    Good Luck...

P.S.  Jet engines don't run on gasoline.

  9. well the a380 isn't looking like such a bad concept now, i think there will be fewer flights, but aircraft will carry more passengers.

  10. Yes their will still be plains flying but they will have some very rich passengers on them and of coarse military but i would say you will not see as many up their as you do today.

  11. If the U.S.'s supply of fuel were seriously going to run out within the next 10 years, there would be pandemonium going on right now...pandemonium that wouldn't include torches because there would be nothing to light them......

There will still be airplanes Hundreds of years from now...but they may run on alternative fuel sources...

  12. By that time they will have succeeded in reverse-engineering the anti-gravity devices in the captured UFOs (flying saucers) so there won't be a problem.

    The truth is out there...

  13. oohh I don't know! do planes run on gasoline? I didn't know that!! or maybe they will make some elecrical hybrid planes and make them look cool and all futuristic!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. Don't be absurd.

  15. haha yah expensive *** tickets tho..haha

  16. Well I think they will but there will be like hydrogen ways of doing it. Also I think a bullet trains will become more the norm. I mean America is a great country but we are not the best when it comes to new ways of transportation and we have our big grandaddy oil company cronies to thank for that with their power and prestige we are way far behind the game. However us americans are resilient people and I am imoressed with this new green young generation that cares about the environment and cares about keeping us up to date. We will be fine. It will be sleeker and I bet faster that will be the big changes.

  17. Yes.  Cars, buses, trains, and ships have trouble competing with aircraft.
