best is escrow or paypal  but it is hard to find companys there that will do this on first orders so i would say do a sample order and build a relationship with your supplier the other good way is payment on documents which basically means your supplier ship the goods the documents are sent to there bank which in turn send them to your at which point you pay and then the orginal docs are given to you and you go to port and pick up
