(please answer as quickly as possible!! need by tonight!!) Ideas for 6th graders?

OK, so, I'm in something called WEB at my school and tomorrow we are telling kids about the school, and how you can be a successful person, etc etc. So, after we finish all the games, we are taking them on a field trip around the school. When we are taking them, we can have cool stuff on, because we are getting group pictures taken. I'm trying to figure out what I can do for them. I have 7 boys in the group and 3 girls. I'm thinking about having them put stickers on there shirts or face and maybe buying party hats at the local dollar tree. If you could give me some ideas for the kids, that would be awesome!! Thanx a bunch!!

Stickers???? They're 11, not 3.

Try playing some kind of organized game.

They could fold their own pirates hat out of construction paper and pose as pirates in the picture. They could each get a strip of brightly colored fabric and use it to decorate themselves (bandannas, ties, scarves, etc.) It would give you an idea of their personality depending on what they chose to do with it. I would go with something bigger than stickers, especially because you have so many boys in the group. If there is a theme for the night or for your group try to come up with something that matches that theme.

Well have them decorate there shirts thats fun, I wouldnt go with the stickers, they wash off!

But it does sound like you have alot of great ideas already.

That seems a little immature to me, sorry! Imagine what you would want to do if you were their age. Maybe just talk about the school, play a name game, talk about the classes/ask what classes they're taking, etc.

Okay. I'm going into Gr 6 this year and I'll tell you what would be cool for me. Well I wouldn't mind maybe like having a white shirt and being able to decorate it like with paint or stickers or glue or whatever. And then after we decorate the shirts maybe we could have like a dance in the gym or something. I hope I helped!

What you have sounds like a good idea. You could get some cheap face paints or makeup or temporary tattoos and have them paint their faces. They are sixth graders, remember, they might think that kind of thing is babyish.

I love the hat idea!!!  the stickers sound great too, if any of your ideas don't work (ie cant find hats, etc) here are some ideas too:

- bandanas

- inexpensive face paint (that's hypo-allergenic) might be fun.

- take a deck of cards and have everyone tape them to their shirts

hey.it seems that what you would do to 5 year old.11 to 13 year olds have changed since you were that age.im 15 now by the way.i think why dont you buy a few bags of sweets and give them a selection and give them sweets instead of stickers/hats.

or you could even test them at the end of the night and ask questions on what you told them and give the sweets as prizes?

remember ask them at the end are they happy coming to the school ask why/why not will they miss thier old schoool why/why not.do they have much friends that will be in the school?and give little jokes throught out the thing like in the science room you must be carefull in this room we dont want any kids being blown up or the school  blown up i know not muchpeople like school but still haha and we dont want ye all coming ut of science class after an experimet with big afos etc and all that stuff.be thiier age for the night

stickers and party hats? sounds like kindergarten.

you should play this one game called the couch.

you need an even number of girls and boys so two boys have to be "girls".

what you do is everyone writes their name on a piece of paper and puts it in like a cup or something and everyone draws a name but doesnt let anyone know what name they got. youll need eleven chairs. four of the chairs are in a straight line that makes up the "couch". and the rest are in a kind of half circle continuing from the couch. so the shape is like a D. put two boys and two girls on the couch. there will be an empty chair and whoever is to the left of it calls a name of one of the other kids. whoever drew that name comes and sits in the chair. now there is another empty space and whoever is to the left of it calls another name and so on. the goal of the game for the girls is to get four girls on the "couch" and the goal for the boys is to get four boys on the "couch" it may seem confusing or dumb but once you start playing its easy. and really fun! trust me.
