Okay, so one of the reasons people hesitate to answer your question (IMHO) is that hair styles are better if they match your face -- and we don't know what you look like.

So "The Style of the Year" may flop for you.

Also, a lot depends on your age. The younger you are, the longer you can wear your hair and get away with it, regardless of the styles.

My best advice is to find a "before and after" site with photos (or a magazine at a hair salon) and browse through, matching your face with those in the magazine.

I wish somebody had given me this advice when I was younger. I would have had a completely different life if I'd known how to style my hair -- for ME and not to match what I thought the latest styles were. A great hair style can really "make" you into who you were meant to be. (Good example: Audrey Hepburn. Have you ever seen her with long hair. Yikes!)

i actually have the same kinda problem i would like a really nice hair style seeing as i always have a side fringe cut in but it has out grown now. i really like rhiannas fringe but with my hair length and for it to be dead straight at the back.

just try looking at some singers u lke and try expeiment with them in your head :)
