You can hand feed princess parrots on a normal parrot hand rearing formular purchased from a good pet store or avian vet. Watch some videos on how to do this properly or you will kill the chick.

If you are looking for the baby to be a tame pet for yourself or someone else than I would suggest trying to hand rear it ... but be careful. You need the correct equipment and enough time to do so. All baby parrots need to be kept at a certain exact temperature and they need to be feed regularly. There is a lot involved with hand rearing so make your decision wisely. Although you will have a tamer bird at the end of it.

Removing the chick from nest will not upset it's mother. People remove chicks all the time to hand raise them. But if you take it out and then decide it's to much work - the mother will not take back over looking after it. (generally speaking)

I have no idea what would have happened to the other chick... it's hard to say unless someone saw what happened.
