It means stop being foolish and get smart.Its the Ibibo ad that you talking about,isn't it?H'e jst asking you to get smart and start using Ibibo for photo sharing etc.

Infact the CEO of the company is behind this ‘balti’ thing as he wanted to do something like “Don’t be a dhakkan.” Since dhakkan(lid) is pretty common so he changed it to balti.I think they wanted to surprise the consumers with the kind of advertising employed.

Bad advertisement though.

u r talking abt the ibibo ad right?......... in slang a person who is slow on the uptake is called a balti - hence the "dont be a balti" line.
