I have been observing and writing about this all the summer.  We are at a critical state now with how we have created such a hostile environment for the indigenous beneficial insects and how no-one is prepared to speak out or do anything about it.  

Most people are completely unaware of what is happening in the natural world.  We live our lives oblivious of what is happening to other species and how our actions affect them.  Yet we are totally dependent on these tiny creatures such as bees, butterflies and moths for pollination of apples, pears and oilseeds.  Yet, we burn, poison, destroy and put under concrete the land on which they and we ultimately depend.

Yet we could with more awareness be able to create more favourable conditions for these beneficial insects very easily with some adjustments and more environmentally-friendly policies.  But we have to move fast.  It really does depend on all of us to get involved and create that change - NOW.
