  1. Chess is really a brain drain fir all other games bcoz it is not a sport which has physical wrk but totally depends on the mind....

  2. "Smart" people are attracted  to chess and are hence "drained" from the pool of potential players of other games.

Sorry you needed a chess player to know what a "brain drain" was.:)

  3. It's not a "brain drain" when any game you either like a lot and want to win so you play hard or a new game to you so it's difficult and you put pressure o yourself to learn and try to win. With me I know how to play chess, but when i started to learn by brain ached  because i was trying to hard to win. Now since i understand the game a whole lot but not good at it my brain doesn't hurt. Now if I play someone who i know is pretty good at the game, i try really hard to beat them and my brain hurts so much i loose, it's a mental concept. It's the same with poker. Now if you don't try hard play like you normally play, relax and put the same effort as usual your brain won't hurt and you'll most likely win because your not stressed in the beginning it supposed to hurt in every game. This is a concept that is actually proven by scientist and is not just chess it is almost every game in life. Now you think chess is more because people say chess is hard, it's not all you have to know is what each piece can do and focus ahead of time. That's why your Brain hurts more in chess then other games(not true) its all mental. Not physical.

  4. That is like calling weight lifting a drain for physical sports.  If you try to play football right after weight lifting you may be too tired and worn out.  But if you do it regularly and give your body time to heal and strengthen you will be much better at football.

Similarly in chess, right after you play a game your brain will be fatigued.  You brain like a muscle can get tired after a lot of exertion and an intense chess game can consume as much calories as a physical activity like skating.  If you play another game that demands mental alertness right after your brain will probably fight you.  But if you space it out properly and give you body time to adapt and strengthen you will be much better at games and almost any activity demanding complex reasoning skills and thinking.

As a side note, did you know that grandmasters will typically lose several pounds of weight at the end of a chess tournament just from sitting around playing chess?  And I heard that Gary Kasparov would do a lot of physical body building to prepare his body for chess tournaments - maybe that is why he probably is the greatest grandmaster in history.

  5. because it helps your brain to think always

  6. It's not.  Chess sharpens your logic and will help in almost any other game.

  7. Because u relieve ur mind with vigour .
