  1. The American dollar became "worthless" in 1976, when the United States went off the gold standard.  Before, a dollar bill was worth one dollar in gold, but now has only relative worth.

  2. 2010 is when they figure the Amero will replace the dollar

  3. People say (People being conspiracy theorists and I believe some government officials ((UN and Etc)) ) that in 2010 there will be one Currency in North America, the Amero. All of the countries and provinces in North America (To make easier, the three Continents) will have an option of joining the North American Union (Like the European Union).

Just another way of New World Order.

  4. Definition: the US dollar is worthless when the official currency for oil is the euro and when  3 US$ is 1 euro.

Currently it is: 1 Euro (EUR) = 1.58965 US Dollar (USD)

    The causes:

    1) An oil incident -- oil is not available anymore.

    2) A credit crisis: banks going belly up.

    3) Panic due to the national debt.

    4) Another small war.

It will start in 2010 ...

  5. The American dollar became "worthless" in 1961 when the Federal Reserve, without fanfare or news coverage, began refusing to trade silver dollars for "Silver Certificates" as promised and printed on the currency at the time. Two years later, 1963, the last silver coins were minted in the U.S.

Any value assigned to the dollar since then is just luck and faith.
