"1 out of 3 Americans has a parasite living inside their stomach." Is this really true...?

We all have bacteria living in are body as well as yeast. These little guys are healthy and needed. As far as parasites living in your stomach. No that is not true. There are not many living creatures that can survive the acidity of the stomach. However the H.pylori is the exception. This bacteria can cause ulcers. It is easily gotten rid of with the right antibiotic. Unless you are always feeling sick to your stomach I would not worry about parasites in there.

I don't know about the american statistics, but if you care for your (and if you have pets, their) personal hygiene, you have nothing to worry about. You can get internal parasites from f***s and not properly cooked meat, but I think you know how to avoid those :3
