"A Child Called it?"

Question

so i recently read that book, and i am amazed because i can totally relate to the character (my abuse wasnt as bad though, obviously.)

but what ever happens to the mother?

and the family?

there are other books that go along with that. its a really good story . walmart sold all 3 or 4 books that was a series. if u cant find them at walmart u might have to go look at a book store. u need to get the other books to better under stand the rest of what happen

you should read the following two books to answer your question...."The Lost Boy" by David Pelzer and "A Man Named Dave" by David Pelzer

I know that his grandmother does not talk to him cause she thinks the story he told was not true.  I don't think anything happen to his mother..

I think there's other books that tell what happens. I read the book in about 45 minutes, and I cried like a baby. I could relate too, but more on the mental part. I was never physically abused.

The mother eventually served time in prison.  She is now dead.  Thank god for that!  What a witch!  Dave Pelzer is a motivational speaker.  He is a very intelligent and upbeat man!  He is married with children of his own.  As far as I remember he doesn't talk to his father.  I am not sure about his siblings!

if you want just research his name you might be able to figure out what happened to him

It is crazy what he went through and how he was able to come back from it.  I really like stories like that because I can relate as well.

There's a sequel & trilogy to it. The sequel is called The Lost Boy which goes into more detail and the trilogy is called A Man Named Dave which tells u what happens. Trust me it's better to read them, they're so good.One of his (Dave Pelzer) brothers even wrote a book. It's called A Brother's Journey by Richard Pelzer. These r gr8 boox, u should read them.

There's sequels.

Amazing book, so sad, I cried.

I didn't read any of the sequels.

I suppose the mother lied about the abuse and got to keep her kids, I also think the husband was cheating on her.
