Question:

"America's Next Top Model" will have a l***o! What do you think about that?

I think it's interesting, but a little unfair because are there lesbos who model professionally? Women are supposed to be competing with other women and this girl likes other girls.

Now - I'm sure some of the report-happy people out there are already hitting the button, and that's fine. This is, definitely, an abuse of the site. However, I want you all to think about this and compare the question to the other "America's Top Model" question. What have I done here that wasn't done there? Folks, I help out with a local TS/TG group near my home - long story. I make it a point to take new transwomen on "Shopping 101" trips, because they tend to be more comfortable with a gg along, and I'm in a position to unload on people who are rude. This happens a lot more than you might think. You think g**s and lesbians face prejudice? They do, but it's an order of magnitude less than what TG/TS face. These are people, folks, not caricatures. I have defended this section in the forum as a place where people receive good, gentle answers, but that question and some of the rampant stupidity I saw in some (not by any means all) of the answers makes me sorry I did so.

I apologize to the lesbians I offended with this. Please understand that I'm trying to make a point. I also apologize for the rant. But I expected better of this place, and that kind of prejudice makes me so mad I could spit.

  1. ugh... hasnt it been done before? im sure it has. and just so you know..there are alot of lgbt people in the model industry...Janet Dickinson said so.

if the lgbt person has the talent why not let them model.

and heck yeah we face prejudice and alot of other dumb unnecessary stuff.

    and its L*****n.

  2. you go girl.

i have the utmost respect for transfolks.  i can't even begin to imagine what it must be like to be born into the wrong body.  transpeople are some of the bravest, strongest people i have ever met!

it's pretty funny how many people answered this thing without reading the entire question.  quit freaking out, she's on our side

  3. Excellent!  I think that is great that at least we're out loud and proud.  Those who follow their path deserve applause.  If there is a beautiful L*****n OR trans-gender/transsexual (or both at once) who have a chance at being a top model then that's great.

"Some of my best friends are transsexuals" -- though it was funny when we were discussing PMS.  Cookie said that for her PMS stood for "People Make Me Sick."  LOL

Do you all know (spelling) Rue Paul?

As for terms of endearment, you can call me what you like l***o, lezzi or d**e that's fine by me.

  4. there have already been at least two openly L*****n competitiors on the show. . .

  5. Huh? So you are offended by my question? Understand something--I am not saying that I think it shouldn't be banned...I was just feeling it out actually. I guess your point is that transgendered people are whatever gender they aspire to. But you have to acknowledge that they were born with different equipment. God gave them that. And to simply ignore the physical and say that (in the case of a tran born as a male) "I am a woman because I feel like one" is not the whole story. I am not a TG/TS and lots of times I have felt rather masculine in my soul! Even on here, people have accused me of pretending to be a woman, which is ridiculous. Now I don't look manly, nor do I have the desire to change my physical appearance. My feeling, upon seeing a TG person is that there is something artificial and superficial about their wanting to change the outer. I don't understand why you can't feel whatever you feel inside and not need to alter the exterior. The body is temporary anyhow!

  6. ummm. yeah there has been other LESBIANS on antm! DUHHH! KIM.

  7. kim..season 5 enough said

  8. the name l***o is wrong it is L*****n.

2nd..does it matter if a L*****n is on the show?

  9. The only thing that was offensive was the "l***o" word. They are lesbians.

  10. okay, im not gonna read all that, sorry

[i don care how many thumbs down i get]

but, yo! there's been many other lesbians in America's Next

    Top Model..so wat r u whining about??
