So as much as it breaks my heart, I cant help but watch Animal Cops whenever it is on. I live in the country and it appalls me that people would keep animals in the conditions that some of these people do and that they would treat these animals so horrifically. My question though, is where do people get all of this acid that they pour on these dogs? Have you ever noticed that at least once every couple of episodes they will find a dog that someone has poored acid on, what is up with that?? If you go to petabuse.com and look up cases there are several on there too...is this like hydrochloric acid? why would this be something that happens so often? where are these people going out and buying acid to pour on their poor dogs? I have noticed that is is almost always pit bulls :( do you think maybe they are using it to split up fights or something? or punishment maybe? im just blown away by the inhumanity.

  1. You can simply get the acid at any hardware store.  I can't explain why people do it.  It's simply cruel.  I think I cry at least once each time I watch Animal Cops.  And I still watch it.

  2. A lot of products found in your household can be corrosive like acid. People are just cruel and there's no explanation behind it. I watch Animal Cops b/c I like seeing the perpetrators being brought to justice. Also, I like seeing the animals get better and get good homes.

  3. I watch it too. I had to stop watching Miami Animal Police because EVERY episode they would have a pit bull on there that was euthanized and I just ball because if I just lived three states down, I probably could have given him/her a second chance. But then I notice the dates (usually 2006), and it was before my rescue had begun.

Its sickening to see what kind of people we're living alongside now. It makes you suspicious of EVERYONE. I randomly yell at the TV when I watch it too, I've broken several pairs of glasses watching it too, and the boxes of tissues are accumulating in my house.

My fiancee watches it and cries too, so it makes me not alone.
