What do you think of this retarded school policy?

I think it is a sad state of affairs when enough students hurt teachers and other students that schools need to enact rules such as this.

I think it is the only sensible step the school can take.

Perhaps if students remembered they are in school to learn and not to play with guns and knives the schools would not need to take this position.

d**n shame. When I was in school, it was not uncommon for someone to open their trunk and take several shotguns and rifles in the agri bld so everyone could check them out and if you did not carry a pocket knife, everyone thought something was wrong with you. Then we had forced integration and everything changed. Sorry, you had to grow up at the wrong time. BTW no one was ever shot or threatened with a gun or knife. If there was a fight, the coach took them to gym and put gloves on them and let them go at it. They always left as good friends. How times have changed.

Technically ANYTHING from a text book, to a pen can be used as a weapon. So i think that they need to be taking more serious actions to punish and teach bad/violent pupils

Completely stupid. Seriously, anything can be used as a weapon, your own body, someone elses body, a pencil can be used to kill someone and it's possible to suffocate someone with a school blazer.

i am so glad i am done with school. when i was still in high school the rules were really starting to get out of hand (after Columbine school shooting) but i guess they keep getting worse.

so, what are you allowed to have at school to write with? a pen or pencil could be used as a weapon.. a back pack strap could too. gosh this leaves the door wide open

keys could be used as a weapon if you hold them between your fingers cause it can open up the skin and what do you mean by school policy
