George's arrest and subsequent conviction had a very strong stink of "let's fit up the village idiot" about it.

There was never any doubt in my mind that he was completely innocent.

A Jury found him guilty, an appeal upheld his conviction. I don't understand how he can be innocent. How can so many people get it so wrong? Maybe it is time to scrap the Jury system and leave it to the Pros. How much money was wasted on that fiasco? and we haven't even mentioned compensation yet.

This is a just verdict, Barry George was set up because of the fact that he was,with all due respect, "a little odd". Jill Dando's collegues in the media were baying for an early arrest, anyone would have done!.The policed didn't want to look their usual incompetant selves so the easiest suspect would do. If the victim had been someone unknown and not a popular media "celebrity" there would not have been as much fuss. Barry George should certainly get a large wad of compensation as well as a public appology from the idiots who brought the case against him !!

i seriously think that it was a serbian hitman.. as Ms Dando supported the kosovan refugees (god bless her soul) fleeing the horror from solobodan milosevics madness as the world looked on helplessly

yes Mr George should be completed exonerated and compensated and given a new identity and allowed to move on with his life.

8 years for justice? Its a disgrace, George was tucked up by the Old Bill. I didn't think then that he had the ability to carry out this premeditated murder, i am disgusted that the real culprit has escaped justice.

And whats that nonsense from the prosecution? That its a sad day for the family of Jill Dando? Why? Should an innocent man be in prison then?
