"Black and White" saying?

Question

What do people mean when they say "It's not black and white" or something. I hope that made sense, I don't know, it's a saying. Just kind of confused to what it means exactly, if anyone can help, please.

its not anyhing to do with race-in case some people think that.

Black - a colour

White - a colour

Its not any other colour, (and i dont think you can make them colours either)

its just like smeone saying 'its as clear as day' you cant get any clearer, its hard to explain, lol, but you cant mistake black or/and white.

Its either black or its white, so if someone says 'its black and white' it means there is no other way, it either is or it isnt, thats its, no if's or buts.

It means there's always an alternate answer than just what you know. Like the abortion issue. It's not just black and white because no one can really say all abortion is wrong because there's always that grey area of possiblity... Hope that makes sense.

the world is not good or bad there iz no clear cut difference, soem do good for goodness, some do bad for goodness, some do bad for badness, its just not clear, it might be for a little child but as u grow up u start to c.

There r many issues in history and today that r not black and white, eg arbotion, the Iraq issue, bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Crucifixion of Jesus etc

It means there is no clear-cut right or wrong answer. The situation is too complex to say that one method is right and the other one wrong, too much gray area.
