  1. Foreman in an upset. If McCall and Rahman could do the trick, Big George was more than capable of landing the bomb. Behind on the all 3 judge's cards Foreman sets up the clubbing right hand with his telephone pole jab and KO's Lewis in round 8. As good as Lennox was his chin was suspect. Foreman had a very good chin and could take punishment. He'd be able to handle Lewis' power. Lewis was big and lacked quicks, that favors Foreman. Also Big George would know before the fight that he wouldn't be able to outpoint Lewis. Big George was a much smarter fighter during his comeback, he would bide his time and set up the KO combination.

  2. stupid question it would of been a close fight when foreman was in his prime lewis would of won easily against comeback foreman

  3. lewis would of beat an older george foreman by points

  4. I would really want George to win and he would certainly have a punchers chance as he did against Moore.  A prime Foreman would beat Lewis because he would go after him and take him out.  The comeback Foreman would conserve his energy and except for a few good moments would probably get outboxed by Lewis even though he would put up a great fight much the way he did against Holyfield and Morrison.

  5. The "Comeback" Foreman would have been taking on Lewis at, what I feel, was his best - before he started weighing in the 260 neighborhood and throwing like 20 punches a round.

If Foreman didn't catch him with a big, quasi-lucky punch, he would be too athletic and fast for George at that point, if he hit him 3/4 of the time that Holyfield or Moore did, someone would have to step in and stop the fight.

  6. Comback George has expressed on numerous occasions that he wanted NO PART of Lennox Lewis, with good reason.  Forman is a good man but sometimes he tends to say some unrealistic things.

For example you could never get him to say one nice thing about Roy Jones or Floyd Mayweather Sr.  Jim Lampley would even try to put George on the spot and force him and he still wouldn't budge.  One thing he said that might not be as unrealistic but I question his sincerity.   He said that Lewis is the greatest hvt. of all time.  How much does George really believe that and who is he trying to spite.   On the mike he was prone to such behavior.

Anyway, on the fight, it would be a boring fight.  IF Lennox Lewis had one weakness as a heavyweight (and I dont fully buy the chin theory),  it's his unwillingness to take chances.  Sure Big George would KO Lennox if he hit him good but he would also KO anyone else too if he hit them good.

People like to say Lennox has a weak chin.  He was KO'd by McCall and Rahman, two of the hardest punchers in the last 25 years, in an era when hvt. boxers are bigger and stronger.  These two would KO nearly anyone they hit cleanly.   If anything it's his defense that's suspect, a factor that would be a moot point against O'l George.

Knowing what George could do if he hit him,  Lennox would be content to box and wait for an opening.   He would not take the chance that he, himself, would be caught with a punch.   Knowing George can't catch him, Lennox would keep a safe distance.  Lennox certainly has power of his own.  If George is the measuring stick  (and I think he is) with 100 representing his power,  Lennox would have to be in the mid 90s.  Anyone who thinks Lennox can't punch is just crazy.  He could KO George but he would be too careful.

Lennox would be content to jab, jab, jab and throw an occasional right.   He would catch Big George with a monster of a right hand in the middle rounds but George would survive to give Lennox his own scare a bit later in the contest.

Not wanting to take chances,  Lennox would coast to a comfortable decision win.

  7. lewis by decision, using his jab to control the action.......but as toughguy said, foreman always has a punchers chance.

  8. Prime Lennox Lewis was an unstoppable jab powerhouse. He had speed, a stone chin, and a jab that would rock even Joe Louis. Comeback Foreman also had a solid chin and good power, but his clubbing style and cross armed defense would be easy pickin's for the brilliant stiff style of Lennox Lewis. I pick Lewis in a UD, no knockdowns.
