"Curing" shortness of breath in crowded places?

Symptoms:

Hard to breathe in crowded areas (not small spaces like claustrophobia, however)

Feel like fainting, lightheaded

Any way to help fix this?

  1. When this happens to me it is usually due to the perfumes or colognes people wear. These can cause rapid asthma or bronchitis attacks. A bad dose or exposure can affect me for days sometimes. I use a neti pot to clean the toxic stuff from my sinuses. My allergy Doc has me on Symbacort & Veramyst. It helps a lot.  


  2. Agoraphobia.

    Very common.  A type of panic/anxiety syndrome.  Got to see your doc to get some meds to deal with it and eventually overcome the anxiety.

  3. see your doctor to rule out a medical cause.
