I have been backing up Quicken 2005 to SanDisk U3 Cruzer Micro USB Flash Drive for 8 months on my emachines T5212 with no problem. Now, when I try to backup to the K drive, I get the message "The disk is not ready" and then, "File not backed up." The flash drive has lots of memory left. I have tried several Windows troubleshooting tips, but the responses have all been that the device or the drive is working properly. I uninstalled and reinstalled SanDisk and that didn't help either. I tried another flash drive and got the same "not ready" message. I had no success referring to emachines troubleshooting either. Anyone have an idea what could be happening? Thank you.I am currently working on Quicken Deluxe 99 and have been backing it up on my flash drive with no problem until now. When I start the back up process it asks me for Back up drive: which is F: for my flash drive and after I click ok it asks for Directory: and that says F:/ which before I used to click ok and now it tells me that the Back up and data directories must differ.
