"Every member of Miami Marlins failed," says Ozzie Guillen - MLB Update
Miami Marlins’ manager Ozzie Guillen continues discussing failure and pointing out reasons that led to the collapse. This time around, he has come up with a comprehensive scanning of all the officials and the players, terming every member of the organisation
responsible. While he confesses his part, he hardly lets the rest of the members go scot free.
However, he has observed silence with regard to taking names of the officials. Instead of turning some of the individuals against him by speaking out openly against them, he has tried to hit out at those indirectly.
He aims to shun the impression that he was solely responsible for everything that happened to the Marlins in the season. For the same reason he is issuing such statements which unveil the role of all other officials that were part of the team.
Guillen confronts the speculations that he will be fired soon prior to the completion of his contract.
Owing to his unimpressive performance on and off the field, he has been criticised immensely by the analysts.
Most of the experts consider him the weakest-link in the team.
Guillen tries to be candid in discussing the possible loop-holes in the side during the season.
"If I have to put a finger on something, I put a finger on myself," Guillen said. "I don't care what people say, what people think about it. 'It's not your fault.' It's a lot of people's fault, but I don't have the right to [point] fingers. A lot of things
went wrong."
Furthermore, he thinks that there are discrepancies from top to bottom in the whole club-house. Until they are addressed, results will not change.
"Let's start from the top," Guillen said. "Front office failed. Ozzie failed. Coaching staff failed. The players failed. Everybody failed."
Guillen has clarified that he is not concerned about the criticism. He intends to take positives from the dismal performances in the season and prepare for future in this way.
Regardless of what Guillen believes is the reason of the failure, most of the Marlins’ fans dislike him and want his immediate ouster from the club.
