"Find the corresponding function values."?

Question

I am not exactly sure what this question is looking for. Here is a like to the question:

For those problems, first find the output value of g(x) at the given x value.  The output value of g(x) then becomes the input value of f(x).  Use this input value to find the output value of f(x).

1. f(g(-2))

First find the value of g when x = -2:

When you look at the graph, you can see that when x = -2, g(x) = 2.

Then find the value of f when x = 2.

From the graph, when x equals 2, f(x) = -2.

So, f(g(-2)) = -2

2. f(g(-3))

when x = -3, g(x) = 3.

when x = 3, f(x) = 4.

So, f(g(-3)) = 4
